from Dale Wickell We're still a few months away from the big rush of 2007 introductions, but there have already been quite a few re-designs labeled with that model year. Which new vehicles are you most interested in seeing this fall? For me it's probably the big new Tundra -- but it'll be a longer wait, because Toyota won't deliver it until December or January. |

2006 Chevy Silverado Highlights, Pictures and Fuel Economy Last year, General Motors announced plans to completely close or scale-back production at several factories in an attempt to improve its financial situation. Most of the closings affect GM car production, but one plant slated to go is Michigan's 400-employee Craft Centre, where the slow-selling Chevy SSR trucks are produced. Another axed plant is the Oklahoma City factory that makes the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and GMC Envoys. GM's oldest plant survived the cut. Located in Wisconsin, it's scheduled to begin production of GM's new line of more fuel-efficient large SUVs. No truck plants were affected -- GM trucks are its core, always good sellers and vehicles they will continue to tweak. Here's a look at 2006 Silverado fuel economy comparisons and features you'll see on this year's model. |

But I wanted something different for the new truck because those hard, tall ribs on the floor of a rigid liner aren't real handy for some of the things I typically haul around. After looking at just about every bedliner on the market I chose a Bedrug, a bedliner made from soft plastic fibers. |
